Stopping in to give brief kudos to those authors who are dialogue masters. I’m reading Tanya Huff’s The Enchantment Emporium. She does dialogue wonderfully. And although the best writers are able to balance dialogue, scene descriptions, sensory information and action, my particular opinion is that dialogue ranks top on the list. That aspect makes or breaks the best novels in my mind. Who are the authors you believe do dialogue the best? The ones you acknowledge as masters? Let me know.
